The Times-Tribune’s Oct. 20 poll has North Pocono at No. 3, 7-1, and Wallenpaupack at No. 7, 5-3. Friday is at Wallenpaupack Stadium. Kickoff is 7. The Buckhorns’ line in that poll is home against North Pocono.

The same story says Wallenpaupack’s three losses are to ranked teams: the opener to Honesdale, then Abington Heights, then Scranton Prep. Last week Scranton Prep won 35-0, which is also the week 8 scoreboard. On Oct. 8, before the Abington Heights game, the paper had Wallenpaupack at 5-1 and tied for first in Division I with North Pocono and Scranton Prep, on a five-game winning streak after the Honesdale loss.

That notes piece had Edward Kiesendahl at 823 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, and the Buckhorns’ ground game at 270.8 yards a game. Jake Rafferty’s line in the 34-0 win over West Scranton was 50 rushing yards and a score, plus 7 of 9 passing for 149 yards and two touchdowns. North Pocono’s only loss across the last two seasons, the Oct. 20 story says, is 37-36 to Scranton Prep in three overtimes. The road record is 4-0, and Delaware Valley was a 21-7 win last week.
