NORTH POCONOTROJANS

Head coach

Greg Dolhon

2012–2026. Record 77-75 entering 2026.

North Pocono hired Greg Dolhon on Feb. 15, 2012. He was 40. He had played at Wyoming Area, he was a teacher at Lackawanna Trail, and 2012 was his first head-coaching job. He had been an assistant for 20 years, including under Paul Marranca at Wyoming Area and 11 years as the offensive coach for his father-in-law, Jack Henzes, at Dunmore. His first game was at Dunmore. He took over a program that had just gone 0-10.

Jason Sepkowski reapplied. The board went another way. The hiring story gives Sepkowski five seasons, a 19-33 record, and The Times-Tribune Coach of the Year award in 2009.

In 2013 Dolhon coached the City in the 79th Dream Game, July 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Scranton Memorial Stadium. On Nov. 26, 2016, the Times-Tribune wrote that North Pocono had lost 23 in a row from 2010 into 2013, then won 21 games in the four seasons after that 0-10 year. The 2016 team beat Berwick for the District 2 Class 4A title, the first district title since the 1993 Class 3A championship, and lost to nationally ranked Imhotep Charter in the PIAA quarterfinals.

The Times-Tribune’s 2026 preseason page lists this as his 15th season and his record as 77-75 entering the year. MaxPreps has the year-by-year lines from 2012 on. The 2025 team won LFC Division I and District 2 Class 4A, set a school record with 13 wins, and won a PIAA playoff game for the first time.

He is 7-1 and 4-1 in Division I through Oct. 16, 2026.

Matt Nawrocki, a North Pocono graduate named Wallenpaupack’s head coach on Dec. 7, 2023, listed Dolhon among the coaches who influenced him.
