North Pocono Football 2014 Season

Dolhon’s third season was 4-6 and 2-5 in Lackawanna Football Conference Division I, the line on the Times-Tribune’s 2015 preview. A 2016 notebook said the staff doubled the two wins of 2013. Three of the four wins were in September: 22-14 over Western Wayne, 29-27 in overtime at Wyoming Area, and 14-13 at West Scranton. The fourth was a 7-0 shutout of Abington Heights on Oct. 25.

That 2015 preview printed the team totals for 2014: 1,470 rushing yards, 541 passing yards, 2,011 total, 201.1 a game. The defense allowed 3,359 yards, 335.9 a game. No game is marked a playoff. Entering 2015, the same preview had Dolhon at 6-24 in four seasons.

On Oct. 17, Wallenpaupack won 21-12 at North Pocono Stadium. The Times-Tribune said the Buckhorns led 14-0 at halftime and held the Trojans to 48 yards in the first half. Pat Monahan’s 81-yard and 60-yard touchdown runs accounted for 141 of North Pocono’s 196 yards. Jerome Haupt scored from the 2 to make it 21-6, then carried 15 times for 72 of his 89 yards on the drive that closed it. North Pocono was 3-5 and 1-4. Wallenpaupack was 4-4 and 3-3.
